How is MDF Produced?
Approximately 90% of the MDF boards are wood. In order to meet the desired features in the areas of use, wood pieces obtained after the process of mixing of hard and soft woods at a certain rate are separated into fibers thanks to special blades by giving intensive steam. Then, special adhesives and hardeners that allow these fibers to hold together are mixed with fiber. The mixture is dried with hot air to the desired humidity value. Dried fibers are laid out homogenously depending on the properties of the product that is wanted to be produced. After this process, the plate, which is given the sketchy lines with the first pressing operation, is subjected to the appropriate temperature and pressure with the second pressing and ensures that the fibers are tightly adhered to each other. In the final stage, the sheets that come out of the press are left to cool down. After the specified cooling time is completed, it is made ready for use by being subjected to sanding process so that they have the desired thickness and smooth surface.
How To Determine The Production Diversity Of MDF?
Together with having different thickness and density depending on the application areas, they are generally produced with a thickness of 2.5 mm to 40 mm and a density of 500-900 kg / m3. According to the place of use; it can be produced with width between 1220 mm and 2500 mm, and height between 1830 mm and 4200 mm.

As the surface density is high and the surface is slightly rough, liquid surface treatments such as lacquer, paint and varnish can be applied to the plate surfaces.
